Competetion

Is a rivalry between organisms for terrritory or food.

Examples include: Red deer male competition

Mutualism


In mutualism both orgranisms benift together more than they would on their own.

Examples include : companion plants - a nitrogen fixer and a shade provider to reduce evaporation.

Parasitism

It is a relationship whereby one organism benefits and the other organism is hurt. The organism that benefits is smaller than the host (the organism that is hurt).

Examples include tape worm in a cow.

Predation

A relationship whereby one organism benefits and the other is hurt. The difference is that the organism always dies in a predatory relationship.

Examples include: a fox and a rabbit

Herbivory

Is the relationship between the primary consumers (herbivorees) with the producers they eat.

examples: Rabbit and grass.
